Sadly, whoever owned Resolve bought out the Spray 'n Wash company & removed the aerosol foam spray from Spray 'n Wash that my mother & I used for over thirty years on our clothing to remove stains. It was in a tall can with a lime-green cap & nothing beat it on the market. We even got my aunt hooked on using it. One of the large retailers carried it for awhile after the grocery stores stopped having it, but then it entirely diasppeared even from the big-box stores. The company confirmed after my mother sent an email that our beloved product was indeed discontinued last year or earlier this year. I don't know if environmentalists got that product taken off the market (as it was an aerosol & was quite a strong product, though it never bothered my skin or sinuses). Regardless, we are left with the sub-standard Resolve line or must choose a different brand's product. As many people say, don't dare admit you love a product, for it will most assuredly be removed from the shelves...Regardless, I gave this brand a fair shot because I'm not always right. Resolve has cornered the market on stain removal in the grocery stores despite having a mixed response by the public as to it's product line's cleaning power. I sprayed this on my clothing with stains & let the item(s) sit for the amount of time as directed on the bottle. It gets out the stain's color (i.e., the red of spaghetti sauce on a white tee shirt comes out), but a spot of oil-based residue is left on my clothing consistently when I remove the clothes from the dryer. Unfortunately it is absolutely impossible to see if a spot's going to be left on my clothing before going into the dryer, because the clothing's wetness from the washing machine makes that residue invisible. One must add an additive such as Biz to their washing machine if they're to remove every trace of the stain from clothing. Using this product alone with detergent such as Tide or Gain is not enough. The Resolve carpet cleaner is also sub-standard, so I really should've known better than to even try this brand's laundry stain removal product.
Thankfully I've become a more savvy shopper because of the Internet. There are better stain removers out there. One is Earth Friendly Stain & Odor Remover, which is splendid & is multi-purpose, as well. It's clear, has no toxic odor & removes stains entirely on the first try. It also treats stains which get on even the lightest carpet & any other fabric item in your home that will need spot-treatment. I've had pneumonia three times, my lungs & sinuses are very easily irritated & I have sensitive skin. The Earth Friendly product bothers none of the above.
