These bags are alright and I would probably rate them five stars if either I was looking for and wanted white frosted bags or the bags were in fact "clear" bags as the picture and ad implies. These bags are NOT clear. They are white frosted. Yes, you can see through them and see the object or stuff in the bag at a distance of about one foot, but not more. As a result, these bags are not suitable for recycling pick-up in areas that require recyclables to be placed in a clear bag so that the sanitation people can see at a distance what's in the bag.

I called the seller and explained and supposedly the seller is arranging an RMA, but that been about a week so far. I hope they make good on their return policy. After all, these bags are simply not the clear bags as they advertised. The sales rep for the seller was nice and understood the problem but did not know whether the seller sold truly clear bags. I found that odd. If the seller did sell clear bags, I would gadly have exchanged these white frosted bags for clear bags. As it stands now, I have to keep looking for heavy duty plastic bags that are truly clear and hope that the seller stands by its word.

Update: The seller did refund the price of the bags plus my costs for shipping. It was about two months after they picked the bags up. I had to call three times to remind them of the refund.

Further update, May 3, 2010. I bought on Amazon "Clear Contractor Bags, 33x48, 42 Gallon, 3 Mil, 50/case" and they arrived today. I suggest that if you want clear strong bags, buy the "Clear Contractor Bags, 33x48, 42 Gallon, 3 Mil, 50/case." They are clearer than the ones advertised and sold here. Although not as large as the ones sold here, they are larger enough for most jobs. They are also a bit thicker and costs less. (Although the smaller size undoubtedly is the cause for the lower price.)
