This is a very sturdy Grab bar and looked very nice in my new bathroom for 1 year and 1 month at which time the brown "paint" started peeling off leaving shiny stainless steel blotches on the bar. This was supposedly a bronze oil rubbed finish, but it is just brown paint. When I contacted Kingston brass, I was told there is no warranty on the grab bars and there was nothing they could do, so buyer beware!

I put 8 of these in my kitchen last November. I'm home most of the time, and in the kitchen area regularly, so the lights are on in the kitchen most of the day everyday. I'm happy with the brightness and quality of the light. There is a very slight delay when you flip the switch and the lights are cold before the lights come on, but much less than CFL's. I'm only rating it 4 stars because I have had one of the 8 lights fail since November.

Lithonia Lighting 2GT8 432A121201/4GESB Troffer Light [Misc.] Review

I recently had all the old overhead flourescent lighting in my drop-ceiling basement replaced with Lithonia lay-in Troffer lights, which use the newer T8 bulbs. So far I'm very pleased with them.

The prior fixtures I had used the older 40w T12 bulbs developed back in early 1970's ... they were often slow to light, tended to flicker, and created a lower quality light (CRI) that often had a faint blueish, purplish, or yellowish cast (depending on the make/model of yhe bulb and the age/frequency drift of the ballast). Some of the older ballasts also had an annoying tendency to hum.

The Lithonias I just installed use the newer 32w T8 bulbs, which are a full generation more advanced. They're slimmer, and significantly more energy efficient - creating 40-43% more light per watt. As a result, each 32W T8 bulb uses 22% less power, and is 12% brighter, than a 40W T12 bulb. They also light up much faster (courtesy of higher-frequency ballasts), offer better quality light (less color shifting), and have fewer problems with operating in cool temperatures. The newer ballasts are also quiet - they don't hum like some of the older ones tended to.

Also, the T8's efficiency advantage is further enhanced by the fact that they hold onto more of their brightness with age than T12's. For example - I was able to replace an older 2'x4' Troffer (w/four T12 bulbs nearing the end of their lifespan) with a single new 1'x4' Troffer (w/two T8 bulbs). According to the bulb specifications, the room should have been 44% dimmer, but the room was actually brighter ! Part of that was the fault of the very old ballasts, and part was due to the very old bulbs - but the difference was very noticeable. The bottom line is that the T12's (both the bulbs and their ballasts) lose more of their energy efficiency with age than T8's.

The other thing I like is that the Lithonia Troffers have a latch mechanism than the old troffers I replaced - they're easy to open and close.

My only nit: The higher frequency T8's seem to cause a little localized radio interference. However, the problem only seems to happen if a radio is closer than a few feet from the light. Moving the radio a little further away usually solves the problem.

Magic Hwangtto MHT101-Thermotherapy Review

I absolutely love this thing. I live in San Francisco, and so it's quite chilly here most of the year. I can't read any of the instructions, but you basically just plug it in for about 5 mins, and it may not feel hot yet, but it gradually gets hotter and hotter.
