I've owned a dejerine reflex hammer, which was fine until I've lost the pin for testing the pinprick sensation...so frustrating as it practically left the hammer handicapped. Then I started looking for a new one, particularly the tromner model, and kept looking for the best quality at a reasonable price. Of course, the Germans won...in quality. The product is amazing, good heft, making those triangular shaped hammers look ridiculous. If you plan in investing on some quality stuff, I highly recommend this product (as my father used to say - you have 2 choices: throw away 5 bucks every year and get a new but poor quality product or invest a nice nickel that would last for decades).
