I had never used seventh generation products before but it was on sale at our local grocery store and I decided to give it a try. I usually use dawn and I was happy with it. Here is the best part though. When I ran out of the seventh generation I simply went back to dawn dish soap. After a couple of days of using the dawn, my hands broke out with painful and itchy bumps. At first I thought that it couldn't be the dishsoap because I had been using dawn for for years and didn't seem to have a problem. I tried to watch my diet to see if it was something I had eaten, I tried changing my blankets in my bed, and many more things. Then after about a week I decided to switch back to the seventh generation to see if that had an effect. Well the next day the bumps were gone. I can only think that some of the chemicls that are in dawn reacted to my skin. I don't know if I had somehow become immune to them before from using it so much, or what the explanation is. All I know is that they went away when I used the seventh generation so I decided to switch permenately. It really made me think about what I might of been exposing myself to over the years. The other cleaners might require a little less scrubbing but what does that cost you. I would rather scrub more and not have to worry about the chemicals that I am exposing myself to.Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Seventh Generation Liquid Dish Detergent, Natural Lavender Floral & Mint, 25-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 12)" are high quality item.
