One of my cats has a nervous problem. You can see the misery in his face and it just breaks my heart. He is very big and there is no way to pill him (the vet can't manage it, either, even if we can manage to cage or corner him). We tried liquid medications but they are extremely expensive and you can't hide the taste from him, whether in water, food, treats or whatever, and injections are completely out of the question. Pet Rescue Remedy works, but for him, it takes a large dose. It takes about an hour to take effect, but it does help him relax. He will even come to me when he's starting to feel bad & bug me until I give him a treat or meal with the drops. He knows that somehow he feels better after he eats. He can take long naps again and doesn't tear the house down at night anymore. He can relax and enjoy being petted instead of pacing constantly. This stuff isn't perfect, but it makes a big difference and is the best solution I have found, so far. I am still looking, though. I hate drugging him up (he does tend to look high, although content) but if it helps him, that is all I can ask for. The big problem is that it is so expensive! And I would really appreciate a larger bottle. It takes so long for delivery that I rarely buy on Amazon any more. I get it at my local health food store. And when they are out of the Pet Remedy, I can get the Kid's version, which is also alcohol free and works just as well.
