I bought these bags to try them out, and because I thought that avoiding the occasional burst or leak might actually be worth the extra cost of these bags. What I didn't realize was that they would actually save me money. The way they save you money, is that you don't have to change the bags nearly as frequently as you do with cheaper bags. We used to take our trash out of the kitchen can about three or four times a week, because the bags would get holes, leak, or burst if we let them get too full. Anytime anything awkwardly shaped went into the bag, we pretty much had to take the trash out to avoid risking a messy problem.

With these "ForceFlex" bags, we go until they are completely full before even considering bringing the trash out. After they are full, we sometimes keep stuffing more and more into them, knowing that they won't rip, leak, or burst. In the two months we've been using them, we've only gone through about 10 bags, including during the holidays when we generate more trash than usual. None of those 10 bags have had any problems, and they've all gone out completely stuffed. We would have probably gone through forty of the cheap bags that we were using in that time period. These are great.

I do agree with the reviewers that point out the weakness of the draw string system on these bags. We use the drawstring to close the bag, but are careful to carry the bag by its `neck' just below the draw string, rather than using the draw-string as a handle. This isn't a big deal at all, and with as heavy as our bags get, when full, is actually a preferable way to cart them out anyway.
