Rainbow Mate 2009 Review

I have a 18 year old Rainbow Vac that still works great. The Mate works just like the Rainbow carpet attachment but on a much smaller scale.

But I had to make a modification so that I could use it with my Rainbow Vac.
The plug from the metal hose handle has a long female end & the plug from the Mate attachment has a long male end. When I plugged these two together the metal wand was not long enough to fit into the Mate attachment because the plugs ends got in the way.

I cut down an old crevice tool to about 2 1/2 " in length, fit the metal wand handle from the hose end into the female end & beveled the other end with my Dermal tool to make it a male end & shoved it into the Mate attachment. Works GREAT!
