We purchased the COMWIS bedside commode for my grandmother who has difficulty walking especially at night when she needs to use the restroom and it is dark and most of the time an urgent matter.

This particular item gives us a few options; at night she can sit by her bed and use it as a portable full service commode and during the day we use it as a safety frame over her existing toilet allowing her to sit and get up easily.

With the adjustable legs ranging from 16 to 22 inches it is always the perfect height no matter how we use it (as a commode or safety frame). She is a medium sized woman and the item is very sturdy and does not move around or feel unsafe when sitting or pushing on the armrests to get up.
