I bought the Nova raised toilet seat hoping the seat was of solid plastic construction, but it isn't. It's the same cheap blowmold crap like all the rest such as the Medline. I only weigh 170lbs but these cheap hollow plastic blowmold seats end up cracking on me in less than two years and thus need replacing. I'm paralysed from the chest down, and when they break, it usually means a hard fall to the floor and me having to take a few days off work. Long before that happens, I've noticed a sag in the seat in the form of grooves where my legs hang on each side

Because none of the retailers can ever tell me if these are made of solid plastic construction, I'm forced to buy it and see for myself.

If you are fine with all that, at least Nova is the cheapest at $35 and the transaction went smoothly.
